A projective test is a personality test that is designed for an individual's response to ambiguous stimuli, presumably revealing hidden emotions and inner clashes projected by the person into the test. A projective test is an indirect process used in qualitative research where it allows researchers to tap into the consumer’s deep motivations, beliefs, attitudes, and values.
